Each tablet contains Ascorbic Acid 100mg
Vitamin C is essential for the synthesis of collagen and
intercellular material. Humans are unable to form their own
ascorbic acid and therefore need dietary supplementation.
Deficiency of Vitamin C leads to the development of scurvy,
anaemia, and slow healing of wounds.
CITRO-C is taken daily to supply the required amount of ascorbic
acid needed in the body and to prevent or treat the
characteristic symptoms associated with Vitamin C deficiency.
CITRO-C also produces a reduction in the severity of colds,
promotes would healing, and prevents anaemia.
One or two tablets of CITRO C can be taken several times in a
day up to a maximum of 10 tablets per day, or as directed by a
physician. The tablets can be chewed, sucked or swallowed.
In patients with renal impairment, very large doses of Ascorbic
Acid may result in excessive urinary excretion of oxalate, and
the formation of renal calcium oxalate crystals.
Ascorbic acid is generally well tolerated. However, taking very
large doses may cause irritation of the stomach, tongue and
mouth.
CITRO-C tablets are packaged in double-layer aluminium strip
foils with 10 tablets per strip
Each packet contains 30 strips of tablets.
CITRO C tablets should be stored below 300C. Direct contact of the tablets with moisture, excessive heat or light should be avoided.
